Day 2: The Power of Endorphins

The adrenaline rush today was unbelievable. I forgot how hectic my workplace was but at the same time, doing such an intense workout earlier at home made me so hyper... For the entire day! Everything was so funny to me. Hilarious, actually. My co-workers were looking at me like I was a mad person, but it didn't matter. This my friends is the power of endorphins.

I am currently in the throws of a break-up. It's been hard. Admittedly, working out has helped me from trying to supplement my sadness and remorse with other things like alcohol or binge eating. It's been theraputic.

It's odd how I was so resistant to exercise when I felt blue but I don't realize that it's actually the key to feeling better. Not only does it restore your confidence in a slow and steady manner, but it also like I mentioned earlier, it pumps you full of endorphins which are chemicals that are released when you do intense workouts. Those chemicals make you feel better, for a short time, anyway.

Breakfast: Brown rice with egg scramble (2 eggs, 1 egg white, scallions, elephant garlic, 2 teaspoons of canola oil)

Lunch: 5 oz of roasted chicken breast, brown rice, roasted asparagus and hmong pepper

Dinner: Banana

Eeek, I think I underate today. That is a no-no. I did drink copacious amounts of water however.

Goal for tomorrow: Eat more calories.

When you lessen your calorie intake but have a ton of physical activity, your metabolsm will slow down because it will think that you're starving. So eat often and eat in small portions. It's only been 3 days and I feel great! I'm looking forward to my weigh-in on day 8.

Workout: Billy Blanks' Ultimate Bootcamp

Steps taken at work: 14,000
