Valentine's Day is right around the corner and show your love by making your loved one make a romantic, candlelit dinner.
This will inspire a foodgasm and will not weigh you down if you're looking forward to other things after dinner. Like "dessert" if ya know what I mean? ;)

Cut off those woodsy ends...

Take a little canola oil

Some fresh lemon juice

Let them join the party

Don't forget to add some onion powder and salt to the mix

Chili powder for pizzazz

Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. And poof, viola!
Chili-limon Asparagus
1 pound of asparagus, tips trimmed
1 tablespoon of canola oil
1 tablespoon of lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Wash the asparagus and dry completely. Trim off the woodsy ends by taking one asparagus stalk and snapping it in half with your hands. Use that one piece as a guildline to cut the other pieces of asparagus.
Lay out out the cut up stalks of asparagus on a greased baking sheet. In a bowl, whisk together canola oil and lemon juice. Pour the liquid mixture on top of the asparagus and then season with salt, onion powder and chili powder. Toss asparagus to coat all seasonings evenly. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes until the asparagus is tender.
Soy-glazed salmon
1/2 pound or 8 oz of salmon, cut into two equal pieces
2 tablespoons of low sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons of chinese mustard (dijon will work too)
1 clove of garlic, sliced thin
1 pinch of red pepper flakes
1 pinch of sugar
1 tablespoon of canola oil
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chinese mustard, sugar and canola oil. Toss in the garlic and mix to combine. Marinate the two pieces of salmon in the marinade for at least 15 minutes.
Bake in the oven for 20-25 and serve with asparagus!

Lastly, this recipe is a dream for Valentine's Day because it is a sheet pan dinner. The whole thing can be cooked on a sheet pan so you don't have to stress about a ton of clean up.
