I am a fanatic of meatballs. I appreciate them in sauce, on top of pasta and especially in sub sammies. My boyfriend made my meatball recipe tonight and they came out fantastic. Here's we made them:

In a bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, 1 egg, grated parmigiano reggiano, dry oregano, onion power, garlic power, fennel seed, thyme, salt and pepper. Mix to combine and make 8 gigantic meatballs or 12 medium sized meatballs. For me, it's go big or go home.
Bake them at 375º F or 190º C for 30 minutes. (Cook 7 minutes less for medium sized meatballs.)

Carefully take them out and finish cooking them in your favorite tomato sauce for an amazing flavor combination. The subtle, acidic sweetness from the tomato sauce will accent the savory and herbacious flavor of the meatballs perfectly
Serve your favorite way!

Put those babies over cavatappi noodles and your favorite jarred marinara.

Put it over a toasted piece of bread and top with grated parmigiano reggiano

Lean Turkey Meatballs (Makes 4 servings)

1 large egg
1 teaspoon of fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon of dry oregano

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 teaspoons of chopped fresh Italian parsley
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper
"Why so many seasonsings," you ask? Most sinful foods gain their flavor from an abundance of fat either from the protein itself or from worse: butter. Since we are using such a lean protein, dry herbs and seasonings are the key to big flavor without all of the added calories.
Happy eating!
